The kernel of an idea for an app that tracks bike maintenance tasks goes back to the last group ride I did with a bunch of friends right before the world shut down in 2020. I got a flat, had to do a trail side fix, and lamented to myself that I wished my bike could tell me when it needed maintenance. One of my friends said, that seems like a good app idea…
5 years later, I finally had the time to devote to the full design and workup of the UI and UX, but I didn’t know how to get it developed. Enter vibe coding, and in a matter of a few weeks in the spring of 2026, I was able to fully realize my project using Claude Code to assist in the Strava integrations I wasn’t able to do on my own. Voilá! The current state of development is beta testing with a small group for bug checks and UI improvements. I hope to launch the app fully by early 2027.
